Ok! this is the next project we are trying to finish. This is our small sail boat. My husband has had this more years than I care to confess (mostly because I did not know him when he bought it) This year we are going to finish it and take it out on the water. We have started sanding the outside and I have torn everything out of the inside. I am recovering everything inside with denim. (I bought this huge bolt of denim material for a project and well lets say I never used it for that project so it makes good covering for the cushions) I will keep you posted with the updates and when we SAIL.
Best wishes and good luck to you, from someone who can relate. If I can give one piece of advice, it is to take a look at this site/magazine.

It’s written for do-it-yourselfers with small, used, fiberglass sailboats, and even though I tell anyone working on a boat, sail or power, this magazine is worth every cent and then some. I have issues going back for years, and refer to them constantly.
And denim makes wonderful bunk and cushion covers. My previous sailboat was upholstered in denim, and it made for a pleasant, easy to clean cabin.
Thank you for the link to that site. We are certainly do-it-yourselfers! And when we are done with this one we will be working on our 34 foot Columbia sail boat. So I hope to learn what I am doing on the small one. lol
Well, judging by your beautiful quilting and by the yellow dump truck (very nice indeed), you’re more than capable. Both show a love for your work, and that’s the biggest thing. Most people see projects as a chore. But if you take pride and pleasure in the process, the results speak for themselves. One day I’ll post pictures of my embroidery, though right now I’m about to start spring launch commissioning, not to mention LOTS of varnish work!
You should post pics of this boat as she progresses, and I’d love to see the Columbia as well. Have fun!
